2nd Quarter GFPS Meeting

Last April 19, 2022, the different sectors, agencies and departments who are members of the city’s Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) gathered as called for by City Mayor Dexter Uy to discuss the ways to improve, advance, and empower our women through livelihood programs, which is in line with the Gender and Development (GAD) program.

City Councilor Stephany Uy-Tan, the alternate chair, and Ms. Myra Tambor, head of the women’s organization, presided over the meeting.

It was agreed that a resolution be forwarded to the City Development Council for the amendment and inclusion of different offices to be the implementing offices of the livelihood program of the city as included in the GAD Plan for its revision in the city’s Annual Investment Program.

Through the initiatives of the city government, we aspire for all women to be more economically empowered.
