4Ps Catbalogan increases number of beneficiaries
In 2010 when the city first availed of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps, it had only more than 1,000 beneficiaries from five (5) barangays. But as of September 21, 2012 when a Community Assembly was held at the City Plaza, an addition of 700 beneficiaries were included to the now total of nearly 5,000 beneficiaries.
As shared by SP Committee Chair on Women, Children and Family, City Councilor Stephay Uy-Tan as part of her welcome message in behalf of the City Government of Catbalogan, “Kaupod hini nga oportunidad, ayaw unta liwat naton kahingalimti an aton kabahin nga responsibilidad sugad han maupay nga pagpa-eskwela ug pagpapa-checkup han lawas han aton mga anak; an pagpakonsulta han mga nagbuburod ha aton Health Center; pag-atendir han Parent Effectiveness Service Sessions nga
gin-oorganisa han aton City Social Welfare and Development Office; ngan pag-api han iba pa nga mga aktibidades han aton tagsa-tagsa nga mga barangay gawas han ngatanan.”
Indeed this human
development program of the national government is equally an opportunity to uplift the state of lives of our people but a responsibility as well not only to provide the needs of each own family but for the betterment of the community.
