Catbalogan prepares for World Teachers Day Celebration

Preparing for the upcoming 2018 Teachers’ Day Celebration to be hosted by the Catbalogan City Division, City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan met with its new Division Superintendent, Dr. Carmelino Bernadas and his team to prepare for the logistical needs of the said event originally scheduled on October 05, 2018 coinciding with the World Teacher’s Day but main celebration rescheduled to October 16, 2018.

This year’s concept will showcase the various festivals in the Province of Samar including our very own Manaragat Festival and will be capped off with the Mayor’s Night sponsored by the city government.

This year’s theme is “Gurong Pilipino: Turo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko” for the National Teachers’ Month (NTM) as coordinated by the National Teachers Day Coordinating Council (NTDCC) and the National Teachers Month Coordinating Council (NTMCC) for the month-long celebration of National Teachers Month from September 5 to October 5, 2018 as declared by Presidential Proclamation No. 242 and RA 10743.

This annual event has been a tradition of the Catbalogan Public and Private Schools Teachers and Employees Association (CPPSTEA) with 2,070 strong members from all schools in Catbalogan City in both public and public and in all academic evils.
