through City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan and through the initiatives of the Office of the City Agriculture in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry – Samar (DTI-Samar) has organized a Cooking Demonstration last March 13, 2014 at New Life Christian Center.

Attending in behalf of Mayor Step was OIC City Mayor Maximo Max Pescos who delivered the welcome message.

Nearly 60 participants joined the said activity which demonstrated how to cook the following menu: Tuna Coco Meal, Squash Sticks, and Lemon Grass Juice Drink.

The demonstration was facilitated by Ms. Jomilia Cabiling and Ms. Maria Lourdes Andres from the Office of the City Agriculture, aimed at educating women in barangays as alternative sources of livelihood for economic sustainability.

The said activity was calendared under the month-long celebration of the 2014 Women’s Month anchored on the theme “Juana, Ang Tatag Mo ay Tatag Natin sa Pagbangon at Pagsulong!”.
