City convenes Barangay Nutrition Scholars for play program

The City Social Welfare and Development Office in partnership with City Health Office conducted an “Orientation on Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNP) cum Supplemental Feeding Program” last November 10, 2015 at Cocina de Cabral as part of the BuB-funded activity.

Nearly 100 barangay nutrition scholars attended the said orientation of SNP, which is a government program among early childhood children within families, whereby structured play is conducted among neighborhood in the barangay by trained village and church volunteers

Purpose of the said program is to increase access to Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) services outside of the classroom by utilizing play as an approach in providing early stimulation activities that are developmentally appropriate for each target areas of children in the community.
