Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL)-Samar Chapter President and Catbalogan City Councilor Beethoven Bermejo personally handed over the said check to Bohol Governor Edgardo Migriño Chatto, in the presence of PCL-Bohol Chapter President and ex-officio Board Member Antonio Ouano, as well as Philippine Board Members’ League Chairman and Provincial Board Member Cesar Lopez last November 3, 2013 at the province’s main head quarters for relief operations.

The turn-over of the said donation served as a culmination of Councilor Bermejo’s fruitful 2-day visit to the disaster-stricken province. The day before, Councilor Bermejo assisted in the packing of relief goods where he met Australian Ambassador Bill Tweddell and Aid Minister Layton Dike.

The said donation was made possible through City Resolution 2013 – 073, passed last October 30, 2013, which authorized City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan to allocate and donate funds to the said province. The said amount was taken from the Quick Response Fund under the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund from the 2013 Annual Budget.
