City generates blood for Catbaloganons

In an effort to establish a stable source of blood at Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center (EVRMC) at Tacloban City after Super Typhoon Yolanda struck the region more than two months ago, the City Government of Catbalogan thru the initiatives of City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan has recently conducted a bloodletting activity last January 28, 2014 at the City Health Office, Pier II, this city.

Nearly 80 Catbaloganons donated their blood and time during the activity dubbed as “Dugo hin Paglaum para ha mga Catbaloganon”, each received a pack of rice and groceries as a token of appreciation.

The said bloodletting was facilitated by EVRMC Team headed by Blood Bank Chief Dr. Ernesto Miralles with the assistance of City Health Staff.
