City inks MOA for household profiling project

A contract signing between the City Government of Catbalogan and Ms. Divinia Dingle Marciano was done last Friday, the 3rd of July. Said contract was about the Sustainable Transformation thru Effective Profiling (STEP): a household-level socio-economic profiling of Catbalogan City.

The City Government was represented by City Mayor Hon. Stephany Uy-Tan, City Vice Mayor Hon. Art Sherwin L. Gabon, ABC Liga President Hon. Edward M. Uy, CPDC Coordinator Engr. Arnaldo M. Aroza, and CLGO Officer Mr. Jose Obrero.

With the use of an Android device, STEP would allow the city to collect information from individual respondents through a more efficient and accurate means.

The data to be collected would help us provide services the people really need and provide the City Planning and Development Office information that will aid them in the conception of local plans for poverty reduction, climate change, hunger mitigation, and disaster risk reduction, among others.

Expected output from the project include: Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), Registry System on Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA), National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR), and a Basic Census.
