City inks MOA with SSU for the City College Scholarship Program
The recent data from national surveys show that there is a declining number of
high school students immediately pursuing college and an alarming drop-out records/data of college students all because of financial constraints.
The Local Government Unit of Catbalogan City has sought the need to address this problem by granting deserving students with college scholarships for them to finish tertiary education and eventually become productive citizens of society.
With this, LGU-Catbalogan City has considered SSU as one of the implementation areas of these college scholarships to students being one of the most accessible higher education institutions for young Catbaloganons.
On October 31, 2013 at Samar State University, City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan in behalf of the City Government of Catbalogan signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Samar State University through University President Dr. Eusebio T. Pacolor for the aforementioned scholarship program.
