City turns-over collapsible dryers to farmers’ association

In an effort to assist and sustain livelihood opportunities among farmers, The City Government of Catbalogan through the Office of the City Agriculturist turned-over seven (7) collapsible dryers to farmers’ association in the city last March 28, 2014 at the City Plaza.

Said farm support was given to the following associations:
– Iguid Farmers’ Association
– New Mahayag Farmers’ Association
– Mahayagnon Multi-Purpose Cooperative
– Old Mahayag Producers’ Association
– Bangon Farmers’ Association
– Palanyogon Farmers’ Association
– San Vicente Farmers’ Association

City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan was personally present during the said turn-over along with City Councilor and Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee Chair on Food and Agriculture Hon. Maximo Max Pescos.

The efforts of the current administration is anchored on its commitment to provide support to livelihood and economic sustainability as a mean to address poverty and food stability.
