Day Care Recognition Exercises – Joint Cluster 3

312 children from fifteen (15) barangays were recognized by The City Government of Catbalogan through the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) as part of its Day Care Service Program last March 22, 2014 at Samar National School.

These children came from the following barangays: Poblacion 03 to 12, Socorro, Lagundi, Guindapunan, Munoz, and San Pablo, which recognition was attended by the Barangay Chairs of the said barangays.

Attending in behalf of City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan was City Councilor and OIC Mayor Maximo Max Pescos who expressed his delight and congratulations not only to the children but to the parents and guardians who are achievers as well for the time, love and dedication given to the children.

The Day Care Service is one of the programs of the City Social Welfare and Development Office which provides supplementary parental care to children aged 3 to 4 years old. The care the child gets during these formative years would significantly affect his learning capacity, creativity, social interaction skills, and the entire gamut of an individual’s capacity.
