City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan attended in behalf of the City Government of Catbalogan last December 08, 2013 at The Fort Strip the Benefit Show of Katbaloganon Foundation, Inc. for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Samar.

The said benefit show dubbed as “Operation: Bulig Kita (Let’s Help) featured artists and singers like Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, Isay Alvarez, Lolita Carbon, Isabella Gonzales, Nanette Inventor, Roderick Paulate, Jacqui Magno, Richard Merck, The Voice Philippines Finalist Radha, Ka Roger and Friends, Jon Santos, Judy Ann Santos, Robert Seña, Catbaloganon Tessie Tomas, Jessa Zaragosa and many more.

Katbalaoganon Foundation, Inc., which currently held Ms. Tessie Tomas as the President has partnered with Maybank for the said musical comedy show. “The proceeds of this show will go to community rehabilitation, including building temporary shelters and eventually more lasting structures” KFI said in a separate statement.

“Over the past two weeks, KFI has been able to send three truckloads of relief goods to Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan victims in the Samar towns of Basey and Marabut through the generosity of our many donors and volunteers and in coordination with Fr. Cesar Aculan of St. Bartholomew Parish, Catbalogan City, who distributes the repacked goods to the beneficiaries. Together, we have modestly met some of the victims’ emergency needs, such as rice, bottle water, canned goods, medicine, clothes and candles,” KFI said in a statement.

The Katbalaoganon Foundation, Inc. (KFI) was organized by the concerned Catbaloganons in Metro Manila and registered as a non-stock, non-profit organization with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1988.
