LOCAL BANDS COMPETE FOR ENTRY TO FINALS

The second day of the city fiesta month-long festivities featured seven local bands during the elimination round of the Catbalogan Battle of the Bands (CBOB). The seven (7) bands namely Barnats, Monogram, Grassroots, Mute 11, Bonne Vibracion, Fullmoon’s Honey and Critical Damage – all competed to have a place in the final round where only five bands will be allowed to perform.

The bands were asked to play two covers and 1 original song and were judged based on their song interpretation (30%), timing and unity of performance (30%), stage presence (30%) and audience impact (10%). In the end, the five bands that were given a chance to vie for the top prize on finals night were Grassroots, Mute 11, Bonne Vibracion, Fullmoon’s Honey and Barnats.
