Local Youth Council joins the Pacific Partnership 2012

Members of the Local Youth Development Council recently met with officers of the US Naval Ship Mercy of the Pacific Partnership 2012 (PP12) last June 14, 2012 at SP Session Hall.

Said meeting was in preparation for the dates in Catbalogan City in relation to Civic Military Operations (CMO) and Public Affairs Operations (PAO) of the PP12, the largest mission largest annual mission of the United States Pacific Fleet in the Asia-Pacific region.

SK City Federation President Hon. Dexter M. Uy in behalf of the federation along with several officers of The Waray-Waray Youth Advocates (WARAYA) were in attendance and was later attended by Hon. Stephany Uy-Tan, being one of the key persons for the events in the city.

It was revealed during the meeting that several dates have been identified with different activities, namely: School Day Band Clinic and Photo Journalism Sessions at Samar National School (SNS) on June 26; School Day at Samar State University (SSU) on Disaster Preparedness on June 27; Sports Day in partnership with JCI Catbalogan Balud Chapter on June 28; Two-Day Workshop on Damage Control Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) on June 28-29 in partnership with Filipino-Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Bureau of Fire Protection-Catbalogan City; and a Youth Day on June 30 organized by the SK City Federation and Waray-Waray Youth Advocates (WARAYA).

Said activities are separate from the Medical Civic Action Programs (MEDCAP) on June 25-28 at the Silanga Elementary School, Barangay Silanga; and the Veterinary Civic Action Programs (VETCAP) on June 28 at Barangay Guinsorongan and on June 30 at Barangay Silanga.
