82 households received sitao, pechay, eggplant, ampalaya and pepper seeds, 18 of which are Rural Improvement Club (RIC) members and 64 4Ps beneficiaries.

The said visit was made in coordination with Barangay Cabugawan Chair Lilia H. Pido and her Barangay Council.

Mayor Step believes that women, apart from being educated and empowered should be provided with opportunities in terms of livelihood sustainability for her family. Being a woman herself, Mayor Step’s advocacy for women empowerment is one of her flagship program that rooted from her exposure to barangay affairs as well as with NGO work.

LGU – Catbalogan City is set to visit many more barangays as part of the 2014 Women’s Month Celebration.
