Mayor Step gathers Civil Society Organizations

In an effort to establish an inclusive, participative and empowering form of governance, City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan gathered more than thirty (30) representatives of accredited Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) last July 30, 2013 at the SP Session Hall.

Facilitated by City Local Government Operations Officer Mr. Jose Obrero and Local Poverty Reduction Action Program – NGO Representative Ms. Myra Tambor, the assembly of CSOs was in preparation for the formulation of Mayor Step’s Social Contract for her Three-Year Term.

Said social contract will incorporate all her programs and plans during her administration covering from Good Governance, Administrative, Social, Economic and Environmental Management.

“It may be difficult to adopt all the suggestions, proposals and recommendations, but rest assured that all sectors will be tackled and incorporated in my administration.” as shared by Mayor Step.

With the 30 days that has passed, Mayor Step is working doubly hard not only to affect change in the government but for these positive changes to be felt by her constituents.
