Mister and Miss Manaragat winners pay courtesy call with Mayor

Just in time for City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan’s birthday, this year’s winners of Mister Manaragat: The Search for Mister Catbalogan City and Miss Manaragat: The Search for Miss Catbalogan City paid a courtesy with Mayor Step earlier today, August 28, 2018 at the Office of the City Mayor.

The group shared their commitment to becoming the city government’s voice to fellow young people specifically for cultural and environmental programs among all other initiatives under the administration of Mayor Step.

“Nalilipay ako nga nga nag-step up na an Mister and Miss Manaragat nga deri la nahuhuman an obligasyon ha pagdaug kundi ha mas durudako pa nga responsibilidad nga maging modelo ha katawhan ngan makabulig mag-aghat pagsuporta han mga programa gan ciudad,” Mayor Step shares.

Miss Manaragat 2018, Ms. Leslie Anne Pomida extends appreciation to Mayor Step for the development of Catbalogan and assures commitment to support programs of the city while First Runner-Up, Ms. Annie Medalla Lee suggests to organize Mister and Miss Manaragat as an organization who will not just advocate but speak among fellow youth on the city’s programs.

Meanwhile, First Runner-Up Mr. Joshua Carbonquillo commits to be active in pushing for policies related to environment and culture while Mister Manaragat 2018, Mr. Jaztin Lee Sabong extends full support to the programs of the city through the initiatives of Mayor Step.

A contract signing followed after the meeting, which was facilitated by the Office of the City Tourism, Culture, Arts and Information Office, which will bind this year’s winners to obligations as well their respective responsibilities and corresponding benefits.

The group along with their Second Runners-Up Ms. Mary Joy Mustacisa and Mr. Marlon Melgar who were not available at that time are set convene for a strategic planning, which will involve not only the winners but also their respective pageant batchmates to upcoming activities.

Miss Manaragat is officially on its 12th year while Mister Manaragat is on its 5th year of advocating for the preservation of Catbalogan’s rich cultural heritage and the protection of our natural and environmental resources.
