The Philippine Reclamation Authority represented by Atty. Janilo Rubiato (General Manager and Chief Executive Officer) and City of Catbalogan (Stephany Uy-Tan, City Mayor) finally sealed an agreement that would pave way for the establishment of a new industrial and commercial hub in the City through the 330-Hectare Reclamation Project to be situated at Barangay Maulong, Catbalogan City.
This project will address the scarcity of land area for industrial and commercial purposes within the city that would greatly ease congestion within the present Business Center and would complement the City’s rapid economic growth/activity.
The signing of the Expression of Collaboration is just part of many vital steps that PRA and LGU Catbalogan have to go through in order to realize the said project. Should the reclamation project becomes reality, the proposed economic zone of Catbalogan will be situated there in which major manufacturing, commercial, production and industrial establishment will be built.
Also present during the said signing of Expression of Collaboration were Atty. Al Agra, Chairman and Atty. Joseph John Literal, Assistant General Manager, all from the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA).
