In time for the upcoming 7th Catbalogan City Charter Day, the city’s Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee convened last June 05, 2014.

Members of the said committee were City Budget Officer, City Accountant, City Treasurer, City Planning and Development Coordinator, City Human Resource Officer, and representatives of 1st and 2nd Level rank of employees.

The committee has identified four (4) outstanding employees who are from City General Services Office, three (3) are street cleaners and one (1) heavy equipment operator. For the outstanding office or department, the committee has yet to set criteria and may be awarded for next year.

For the barangay level, identification of recipients of the award is being made in coordination with the City Local Government Operations Office. For this year, all Barangay Chairs who are on their third and last term is to receive a special citation.

This initiative of the City Government is part of the thrust of Mayor Step to recognize exemplary service of employees and officers in the government.
